Spiritual Laws – Law of Prosperity June 30, 2009

There are thirty six or more spiritual laws which offer excellent ways for us to understand life on earth, some of the following text has been taken from Diana Cooper’s fantastic book “A Little Light on the Spiritual Laws”. I will briefly explain each law over the coming weeks, if you find this interesting I would encourage you to read Diana’s book. I use Diana’s book when I am low or wanting an answer to a problem I flick through the book and open it at a law, and more often than not that is where I need to focus at that time.

The Law of Prosperity

A plant will prosper if you plant it in rich soil and give it water. However, if you don’t give it water or sunlight it will wilt and die.

Spiritual laws work in a similar way, they help you flourish or help you wither. A negative mindset is like poor soil. When you believe you cannot have prosperity that is like stoney soil. Believing you can be rich is the fertile soil. Fear is a major cause of us not having prosperity. If you have joy and expectation you are able to expand.

Use your expression and be creative, encourage your gifts and talents and you will prosper and flourish. We either have poverty consciousness or abundance consciousness.

Diana Cooper says “the most spiritual thing is to have money and use is wisely and with love”.

Greed can be likened to financial indigestion. It makes us ill and blocks our energy. Hoarding money stops the flow, and tells the universe that you don’t want more and eventually stops sending.

If you are mean-spirited, rigid-minded and tight fisted you will never have feel contented or happy, for poverty consciousness is an attitude. Those who are generous-hearted, open-minded and giving will always be contented and happy. Their attitude of prosperity consciousness will ensure this.

The lesson of prosperity is to use riches with wisdom.

The Law of Intention

If you intend to do something you are more likely to succeed, than if you hope, want or desire to do something. Intention releases energy to make things happen. Whatever your goals are in life, if you gather up the energy and look at your target, the energy of the universe is behind your vision. If you do not succeed in your goal/intention you have put a powerful force in motion.

Intention is the basis of manifestation. Do not let your intentions come from the ego, they must be for the highest good. The universe’s energy supports our intentions.

We need to be perfectly clear what we want, so we are not giving out mixed messages. When we are clear, our messages are picked up with accuracy and everyone including the universe responds to our clear messages.

Activating the law of clarity opens new doors to your future. By making a decision and acting on it is one of the quickest ways to move along your spiritual path. When you have the qualities of clarity (truthfulness, honesty, genuineness, integrity etc) people around you respond to you and want to trust you.

Clear thoughts and intentions help you to draw from the universe that which you request in your life.

The Law of Abundance

We are abundant when we are flowing with love, joy, happiness, prosperity, laughter, and any of the other higher qualities and energies I have not mentioned.

The thing that stops us being abundant is our own consciousness. Our thoughts, beliefs and feelings block the flow of abundance to us. If we always see imperfections in others, we are not opening our hearts to love. Love is flowing all around us all the time; however it will only flow to those with open hearts.

Success is flowing with life and enjoying all the stages it brings. Abundance flows to those can give and receive. If you have very few friends and would like more be a friend to more people. Release all the beliefs of suspicion and hurt. Happiness comes from being happy, again release the memories of sadness and start to live in the present. Good things will flow to you when you have abundance consciousness.

The Law of Flow

The energy of the universe flows like a river, nothing is static everything moves. Our emotions are represented by water, when emotions are blocked they stagnate and our relationships become stuck. If our emotions are peaceful others will want to come close to you. It is a good idea to be aware of our emotions and notice how we react in our relationships.

The law of flow governs sexuality, creativity and many other areas of our lives. If you hoard, there is no space for the new to enter, this can be money, clothes, ideas, beliefs etc. We have a choice if we replace rubbish with more rubbish or clutter. If you continue thinking the same way you will continue to have the same experiences. Start making changes, then something different has to come in.

When you start to clear things out of your house and life, affirm what you would like to replace it with. Don’t just clear out passively.
