Did you know…?
Most people remember to cleanse and moisturise their skin every night. This is great, it cleans off all the pollution and sweat that accumulates on your skin during the day. The moisturiser also gives your skin nutrition so that it can repair and regenerate properly while you are asleep.
But do you cleanse when you wake up too? Think about what happens when you are asleep. You body is working hard. It is healing and renewing itself. During this, you are shedding thousands upon thousands of dead skin cells. You will also have a fine layer of dust on you that has settled from the air. Depending on your skin type, you may also have a mist of oil on your skin. Combine all of this and you have a lovely mixture that will plug pores and suffocate your skin. Who wants to apply makeup or shave directly on skin that is covered with dead skin cells, dust, oil and dirt?
Cleanse and look after your skin last thing at night AND first thing in the morning.
Have you ever tried…?
Aloe Vera – Aloe Vera is one of the most widely used natural treatments for both internal and external problems. As a salve, Aloe Vera is most often used to treat skin burns, up to and including sunburns. Aloe Vera is also available as a natural supplement and is thought to aid in digestion and relieve gastrointestinal distress. Aloe Vera more than likely holds its roots in the northern African landscapes, but today can be found all over the United States as lawn and potted plants.

We are human. We think, we feel and we react. Why then has this taboo about crying in front of others become the norm? When did it occur that it was not ok to cry? Is it because as a society we are unable to understand one another’s deep emotions enough that it makes us uncomfortable and to protect ourselves from this feeling we try to remove it from our every day lives?
Crying is our bodies way of releasing the fear, stress, anger, trauma, pain, grief and even happiness that we experience. We cry when we are in a heightened state of emoting. It is natural. So the next time you feel that tightness in your throat, that sense of inexplicable emotion let it out!
Crying happens for all sorts of reasons. And yes it is natural but if you are finding that you are crying more often or your feelings are possibly due to depression or ongoing grief see your doctor or a counsellor! It could be a hormonal change or it could simply be the winter blues or you could just be a super emoter. In any case talk to someone about it. As we like to say it’s better out than in!
Have you ever tried…?
Cinnamon Oil – When beautiful full lips are required for that night on the town, fat injections may not be in the budget. Fuller lips no longer require cosmetic surgery when a vial of cinnamon oil is lying around. A few drops of cinnamon oil on the lips will bring blood to the top of the skin and the lips will appear fuller, longer. Peppermint oil will often provide the same effect.

If you use a pumice stone for just 30 seconds every day on the bottom of your feet, you will get lovely smooth feet.
Lots of dry, dead skin build up on your feet not only feels rough but also can create problems such as cracked heels as you age. Cracked heels can be very painful and make wearing shoes very uncomfortable.
The absolutely easiest time to remove the dead skin is at the end of your shower or bath. After standing in or soaking in water, the dead skin on your feet is soft and easily removed. Give it a brisk scrub everyday and you’ll have beautifully smooth skin!

Honey. Honey has been used for centuries as a beauty treatment. It’s a natural humectant, which means it draws moisture from the air into the skin. This plumps the skin up and moisturises it.
Honey is also a natural antiseptic cleanser. It draws impurities out of the skin and ‘cleanses’ the pores. Make sure to watch out of it in your favourite beauty products.
Try a yoghurt and honey face mask or book a Luxury Natural Face treatment read more about it

Your hands (and feet) are often a dead giveaway for your age.
When we get age spots, dry skin, and wrinkles on our faces we are quick to get a potion from the store and attack it. But how often do you pamper your hands?
To give your hands or feet a real treatment, smooth a thick layer of moisturiser over them then wrap them in cling film or glad wrap. Then pop them into a hot towel and let the heat emulsify the moisturiser and drive it deeply into your skin. Your hands and feet will soak it up and feel fantastic.
If you struggle to do this on your own, another way is to get some cotton gloves and socks. Apply a thick layer of moisturiser and then your cotton gloves and socks over the top just before getting into bed. When you wakeup in the morning, the moisturiser will have soaked in and your skin will be soft and young looking.
Try it! Your skin will thank you for it
Have you ever tried…?
Green Tea… Many scientific studies over the last few decades have proven Green Tea to have multiple health benefits including lowering the chance of heart disease and/or cancer. In fact, tea has been drunk for over 5000 years and has long been used as a traditional medicine to help heal wounds and promote digestion in countries such as India, Thailand, Japan and China.
There are dozens of varieties of Green Tea so if you try one and you find it not to your taste, you might like to simply try another. For example Tamaryokucha has a berry taste with an almond aftertaste, Kabusecha as a very delicate flavour while Bi Luo Chun has a fruity taste and a floral aroma.

Water hydrates the skin. It plumps it up. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and it makes you feel good.
When your skin is properly moisturised from the inside, it will be plump and full of moisture. This means your wrinkles will be smoothed out and reduced.
Moisturised skin works better. If you are drinking 2 litres of water a day, your skin structure will be stronger and more supported. The blood, oxygen and nutrition flow to your skin will be better resulting in less pimples, less dead skin build up and more elasticised skin.
A bit of extra water will give you a more radiant complexion, less wrinkles and generally healthier skin.
Have you ever tried…?
Chamomile. It is widely known to be a gentle sleeping aid but it is also great for sore stomachs, irritable bowel syndrome, and a gentle relaxant.
To take it as a herbal tea to treat sore stomachs and IBS, use two teaspoons of dried flower per cup of tea.
For relaxation and help sleeping, burn a chamomile-scented candle or use a moisturiser with chamomile essential oil in it.
