Soul Essence is pleased to bring you Your Monthly Wellbeing Words…

Did you know…?

We are busy people.  Some of us get very little respite from our busy days. We work, plan, socialise, meet, cater, parent, befriend, chat, run errands, oh this list is endless!

We need time for ourselves, as without it we can feel frustrated, tired, overwhelmed and out of balance. So take 15 minutes a day to just do something that you want to do. Be with yourself. Have a cup of tea, tend to the garden, go for a walk, have a bath, listen to music… whatever you want to do as long as it is for you and with just you.

Also if you are finding yourself overwhelmed and frustrated take a five minute breather from it all. Spend five minutes just relaxing and focusing on your breath, clear your mind and try to rebalance yourself. Give it a try! See if it makes any differences in the way you face your day.

Have you ever tried…?

Banana Peels to treat poison ivy… there is nothing worse than working in the garden only to hit that patch of poison ivy. The oils of the poison ivy plant quickly cause an itchy, burning rash sure to spread all over the body. When the skin calls for relief, bananas can help. No, you do not eat the bananas.  Instead you rub the inside of the peel all over the skin. The banana and the oils of the peel relieve the itchy feeling and help the rash to clear up almost instantly. For added benefit, the banana peel works on bug bites too!

Banana skins can remove a splinter. If you have a splinter in any part of the body, a small piece of banana skin can work out that splinter overnight. It does not matter what type of splinter you have – it could be metal, glass or wood – banana skins have been known to pull splinters out overnight. To try simply cut a small piece of banana skin and apply to the area of the skin where the splinter is located. Cover with a band aid and wait. In the morning, the splinter will be ready to be removed. If the splinter is very deep, more than one application may be needed or you may need to see our doctor

Thought of the Month….

……. that tomorrow is the most important day of your life.

Your greatest moment, your greatest achievement, your greatest adventure lies in the future, never in the past.

There is a new you waiting to be created tomorrow. That is the joy and wonder of the dawn. That is the excitement of it!

Forget about yesterday! What is the grandest version of the greatest vision you ever held about Who You Are going to be tomorrow? That is the only question that matters.
