Bring to mind a person you know, you most likely visualise their face. It is estimated that 95% of people evaluate another person by their face. Our faces tell a story about us – our lifestyle, diets, emotions, and personality. Holding stress, anxiety, negative emotions, having a poor diet or lack of exercise can alter a persons appearance dramatically.
A Natural Facial treatment consists of:
Cleansing the face and neck with a gentle plant-based cream (aloe vera and jojoba oil).
Toning with aromatic flower water see descriptions below.
Using a warm compress to open the pores and aid absorption of oils into the skin.
Application of a natural face mask to draw out impurities.
Massage of the face, neck and scalp with carrier oils selected to suit the client’s skin type. To read more about Snail Gel which I also offer as a face mask, face serum and moisturising gel as part of a treatment for a small extra charge.

FLOWER WATERS
Flower waters are used to tone the skin. They clear the skin of soap films, cellular debris and any trace of oil. They also emulsify deposits and blackheads in the follicles
Rose Water
Rose water has soothing, cooling and anti-inflammatory properties. It is a gentle antiseptic and very mildly astringent. It is often incorporated with natural oils to make the cream.
As a toner, it is good for all skin types even the most sensitive skins and is particularly recommended for dry skins. It can restore the skin’s pH and relieve eczema. Oily skins are better treated with orange flower water.
Use 100%
Orange Flower Water
Orange flower water is slightly more astringent than rose water, so is a better choice for oily skins. Due to its strong astringent properties, it can be used for tightening lax skin.
As a toner, it is good for oily skin types and acne
Use 100%
Lavender Water
Lavender water is unsurpassed as a skin remedy for any skin type and any skin condition. A sprayer of lavender is especially useful when travelling in hot countries as it can soothe sunburn and insect bites and a cold compress over eyes helps to alleviate headaches and migraine.
As a toner, it is good for all skin types especially combination
Use 100%
Witch Hazel
Witch hazel is extracted from the bark and leaves of the plant. It has mildly astringent and soothing qualities for the irritated skin. It has excellent cleansing action. It can be combined with rosewater for use on ageing, damaged and mature skins, for thread veins and for use around the delicate eye area. Can also be combined with orange flower or lavender water.
As a toner, it is good for all skin types including greasy and acne
Use 50% with one of the above
The word “cosmetics” is derived from the Greek word meaning “cosmos”. Ancients Greeks and Egyptians considered that to be physically beautiful was to be in harmony with the universe. To be in harmony with the universe, we need to be in harmony with nature.
The body responds to natural substances in a different way to synthetic substances. The body and natural substances recognise their common primal evolution. Like a tree, we were borne out of matter – nature’s earth. Natural substances reinforce the cosmos within you, whereas synthetic substances can create a ‘chaotic’ you.
