Nurture Your Intuition: Learn How To Trust Your Inner Voice

By Soul Essence New Eltham

In a world often driven by logic and reason, the subtle power of intuition tends to take a back seat. Yet, this inner wisdom, often referred to as the “gut feeling” or the “inner voice,” plays a significant role in guiding our lives. Nurturing your intuition can lead to more profound insights, better decision-making, and a heightened sense of self-awareness. In this blog post, we will explore the importance of intuition and how to trust and nurture your inner voice.

Understanding Intuition

Intuition is the ability to understand or know something without the need for conscious reasoning. It’s that inexplicable feeling that nudges you in a particular direction, even when it seems irrational. While intuition is often associated with spirituality and mysticism, it’s a natural part of being human. It’s not limited to a select few; everyone possesses the capacity for intuition.

The Importance of Intuition

Intuition serves as a compass for navigating life’s complexities. Here’s why nurturing your intuition is essential:

  1. Enhanced Decision-Making: Intuitive insights can provide a deeper understanding of situations, helping you make better decisions.
  2. Increased Self-Awareness: Trusting your intuition can lead to a more profound connection with your inner self, revealing your desires, fears, and motivations.
  3. Warning Signs: Intuition often acts as an early warning system, alerting you to potential dangers or unfavourable outcomes.
  4. Creativity and Innovation: Many creative breakthroughs are a result of intuitive leaps.

Cultivating Your Intuition

  1. Silence Your Mind: Take time for quiet reflection or meditation. Stillness allows your intuition to surface amidst the noise of daily life.
  2. Pay Attention to Your Body: Your body often signals your intuition through physical sensations like a “gut feeling” or “butterflies in the stomach.”
  3. Record Your Dreams: Keep a dream journal to decipher any intuitive messages that may appear during sleep.
  4. Trust Your First Impressions: Your initial reaction to a situation or person is often guided by intuition. Learn to trust it.
  5. Practice Mindfulness: Being fully present in the moment can help you connect with your intuitive senses.
  6. Seek Solitude in Nature: Spending time in nature can sharpen your intuition and provide clarity.
  7. Consult Your Inner Oracle: Tarot cards, runes, or other divination tools can help you tap into your intuition.

Overcoming Doubt

One of the main challenges in nurturing intuition is overcoming doubt. Society often values rationality over intuition, leading us to question our inner voice. To build trust in your intuition, start with small decisions. Pay attention to your intuitive guidance and note how often it proves accurate. With time and practice, your confidence in your inner voice will grow.

Conclusion

Nurturing your intuition is a lifelong journey of self-discovery and growth. Embrace the wisdom that resides within you, and let it be your guide in the intricate dance of life. Trust your inner voice, for it has the power to illuminate your path and lead you toward a more fulfilling and harmonious existence. In the words of Albert Einstein, “The only real valuable thing is intuition.” It’s time to nurture and trust this valuable gift within you.

Spiritual Laws – Law of Discernment

There are thirty six or more spiritual laws that offer excellent ways for us to understand life on earth, some of the following text has been taken from Diana Cooper’s fantastic book “A Little Light on the Spiritual Laws”. I will briefly explain each law over the coming weeks, if you find this interesting I would encourage you to read Diana’s book. I use Diana’s book when I am low or want an answer to a problem I flick through the book and open it at a law, and more often than not that is where I need to focus at that time.

The Law of Discrimination

As adults, we are expected to know right from wrong. Throughout our lives, we are tested. When we are offered jobs, given guidance, meet people, we should check internally if it feels right.

At a deep level we know everything, our gut feelings let us know if someone is being honest or not if we care to listen. We often disregard this because our logical minds argue against it or we don’t want to believe it. This is overriding our intuition or gut feelings. If we do not discern we bear the resultant karma. Then we are tested again later in our lives.

To discriminate against someone on the grounds of sex, race or colour, is not spiritual. We should use discernment; ask ourselves does that person’s energy feel right as a friend or therapist? Is it comfortable to have a date with that person? We have the right to decide who we want in our life, it is discernment, not judgement when we follow our intuition.

None of us can know the whole truth while in a body. Only the creator knows that, but we should stay open and let our intuition guide us.

Quotes from Diana Cooper’s A Little Light on the Spiritual Laws

“Listen to your intuition and trust it to guide you.”

Understanding these laws can help us create a happy and joyous life, energy healing can also help us to follow these laws to create wealth and prosperity in our lives, by helping to remove anger, negative beliefs etc..
