There are thirty six or more spiritual laws which offer excellent ways for us to understand life on earth, some of the following text has been taken from Diana Cooper’s fantastic book “A Little Light on the Spiritual Laws“. I will briefly explain each law over the coming weeks, if you find this interesting I would encourage you to read the book.
As Above So Below
This is the first spiritual law of the universe, referring to earth being as it is in heaven.
We are on this earth to learn, which we do by making mistakes and learning from them. Wise parents encourage their children along a path, offer help and advice, and if it is not taken they allow them to make the mistakes, take responsibility for them and learn from them. They will not judge them, just as the Universe or God does not judge us for our mistakes.
The Universe or God allows us to have free choice, we will be guided by our intuition and thoughts, but if we decide not to follow these the universe will not force us to do God’s or the Universe’s will. Although we have free choice our soul longs for us to follow the path of spiritual growth. Most of us decide to learn the hard way making foolhardy, selfish choices which will often lead to ill health.
We all have angels watching over us; however they will only help when asked. If we offer gratitude to the Universe or God for what we receive, we will receive more. Act selfishly and life will be harder. If there is a selfish person in our lives we are less likely to help to help them, someone who gives us thanks for what we do is far more likely to receive our help again.
